  Add the Factory System to any Explorer WITH POWER LIFTGATE!

  Enjoy the comfort and convenience of a pre-warmed or pre-cooled vehicle. This handy Ford system can start/stop the engine from up to 300 ft. (distance may vary depending on location and environment). Includes two vehicle keys with an extra button for remote start and yet another button for the optional power lift gate feature. NOTE: Available only for vehicles with power door locks.

  Remote Start Hood Switch Kit 19G366 required if your vehicle is not equipped with a factory-installed hood switch. The hood switch on the Explorer is located to the driver's side of the centerline of the vehicle attached to the black plastic radiator cover. It is a "plunger" style switch that is encased in black rubber. Let us know if your Explorer doesn't have the hood switch installed from the factory.

  Vehicle Notes: Hood Switch Kit Required if vehicle not equipped. For Vehicles with Power Door Locks and power lift gate. (Does not work with push-button start)

  1) After installation your Explorer will need it's Smart Junction Box "enabled" (flashed/programmed) to recognize the newly installed remote start kit. This must be done at any Ford or Lincoln dealership. Price varies from dealership to dealership for this service.

  2) The new 5-button keys will need to be cut and programmed to your vehicle. (For an example we charge $45.00 here at Fairway Ford for this service - Each dealership sets their own price)
